Increased efficiency for the construction machinery industry
HENSE SWIVEL MOTORS IMPROVE PRODUCTIVITY AND MANEUVERABILITYIn the construction machinery sector, our swivel motors control the precise movements of excavators, cranes and other construction machinery. Thanks to optimum efficiency, they enable a reliable increase in performance and improve maneuverability, which ultimately leads to increased productivity and profitability.

For inserting sheet piling profilesSteel sheet piles are used, for example, to temporarily secure excavation pits, to shore up canals, locks and port facilities or as a remaining structural element to protect against groundwater or flooding. The generally most efficient method for installing sheet piles is the vibratory driving method. In this process, the pile is firmly connected to a vibrating gear housing via a clamp and pressed into the ground by vibration to reduce the installation resistance.
The vibration load on all gearbox components is enormous, working in a frequency range of approx. 30 to 45 Hz and with a vibration range of up to over 10 mm. Under these conditions, Hense swivel motors, which are installed here as rotating shafts, adjust the unbalances against each other and ensure infinitely variable adjustment of the unbalance. As planned, the swivel motors are subjected to accelerations of up to around 30 g. In construction site operation, impacts with multiple accelerations are also commonplace, but the Hense slewing motors can also withstand these without damage.
