For efficient energy generation, the position of the rotor blades in wind turbines plays an essential role. In pitch control, the rotor blades are precisely aligned with the current wind conditions using Hense Systeme rotary actuators.

Rotary actuators from Hense Systeme are also used before the gearboxes are actually installed in the nacelles of wind turbines. Before the gearboxes are delivered, they are extensively tested by the manufacturers in specially designed test stands to ensure that they function perfectly, with a Hense Systeme rotary actuator often being the centerpiece of such test stands. This realistically simulates the varying loads exerted on the gearboxes by the wind power.
