The training at a glance:
Machining mechanic is a 3.5-year recognized apprenticeship.
You will learn how to manufacture precision components (usually made of metal) using machining processes such as turning, milling, drilling or grinding. You will usually work on state-of-the-art CNC-controlled machine tools. You set these up and monitor machining processes. You will also learn how to program numerically controlled machine tools.
Ihr Profil
What you should bring with you:
- At least a secondary school leaving certificate with very good grades in mathematics and physics
- Craftsmanship with a precise, careful way of working
- Technical understanding, spatial awareness and logical thinking
- Sense of responsibility, ability to work in a team, reliability and accuracy
