Hense motors ensure precise movementsIn shipbuilding, Hense motors control the precise movements of steering gears, cranes and other ship systems. They enable a reliable increase in performance as well as precise positioning and movement control of the ship’s equipment.
A typical application for swivel motors is ship stabilizers. They serve to prevent or at least greatly reduce the rolling motion – i.e. the turning of a ship around its horizontal axis due to wind and waves. (see illustration).
Hense motors are also used for hydraulic bathing platforms on yachts.
